A Review on Auxetic Textile Structures, Their Mechanism and Properties (JTSFT) - Iris Publishers

Materials that possess a negative Poisson’s ration are classified to be auxetic textile materials. As compared to conventional materials, they exhibit a counter-intuitive quality which enables them to expand longitudinally when stretched and contract laterally when compressed. This counter- intuitive effect occurs as a result of the structural deformation of these auxetic textile materials when they are subjected to tension. This paper considers the current structures of auxetic textile materials, more importantly their deformational mechanism, properties and some general applications.

Introduction to Carbon Nanotube Hybrid Textiles (JTSFT) - Iris Publishers

Carbon nanotube hybrid textiles (CNHT) are produced from a carbon nanotube (CNT) gas phase pyrolysis floating catalyst process with particle injection. The CNT based metal and ceramic textiles produced can be customized for different applications. Research is underway by a large group of students and faculty members working in different disciplines to further investigate injection of different types of nanoparticles in order to wet the nanotubes and to customize the properties of textiles. A brief introduction to this new material is given in this paper.

Which Languages That Colors Speaking in Fashion Textiles/Clothes (JTSFT) - Iris Publishers

Aesthetics a focusing on colour words by themselves seems to reach no satisfactory answers in fashion textiles/clothes, the focus will now be put on compound colour words; compound aesthetics colour words present a quite interesting set of properties that may help to better understand the former. Compound colour nouns are formed by a simple aesthetics colour noun and a modifier an adjective or a noun. Like simple aesthetics colour nouns, they are typically masculine nouns. The questions that were initially put can now be replied in fashion textiles/clothes. The observation of the grammatical behavior of simple and compound aesthetics colour words supports the hypothesis that colour nouns and aesthetics colour adjectives are different lexical items, and also that adjectives are obtained by conversion of colour nouns. The hypothesis holds that we view the world filtered through the aesthetics symbolic categories of our native language in fashion textiles/clothes. Over the years, consensus has oscillated between embrace and dismissal of this hypothesis. With regard to our issue, are the metaphorical meaning and the emotional value of aesthetics colour word in a given language completely dependent on culture, context, and language? Or is there a convergent tendency among languages possibly grounded in embodiment and inter subjectivity, aesthetics colour in associating metaphorical meanings and values to colour words?

The Challenge of Female Genital Mutilation (SJRR) - Iris Publishers

Female genital mutilation is a worldwide problem, though it is universally prohibited. The aim of this clause is to shed light on his magnitude and importance of this problem in different residential districts and its campaigns and how to get rid of. The definition, historical origin, indications and types of mutilations, technic of performance, and complication are discussed in this clause.

The Role of Social Media in Voter Education in Nigeria (SJRR) - Iris Publishers

Social media has become a prominent and a powerful forum for voter enlightenment, political activism and fastest means of information dissemination. Social media platforms, such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube help to activate citizens’ engagement in political life. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) saddled with the responsibility of educating voters on their electoral roles and responsibilities unfortunately doesn’t have pronounced presence in the social space. This paper analyses the roles of social media in voters’ education and how INEC can make itself more active on the cyberspace for effective information dissemination and voter education.

Dissecting Subperiosteal Abscess After Surgical Removal of Mandibular Third Molar (OJDOH) - Iris Publishers

Dissecting Subperiosteal Abscess After Surgical Removal of Mandibular Third Molar (OJDOH) - Iris Publishers

Impacted Third molar surgery is one of the most common procedures performed in oral and maxillofacial surgery offices. Dissecting subperiosteal abscess, a certain type of subperiosteal infection after surgical removal of mandibular third molar, may occur several weeks after an apparently uneventful healing of a mandibular third molar wound. It can be managed and prevent further complication if diagnosed early and give proper treatment.

The Brain and Heart Muscle Tissue Hydration Sensitivity to Painless and Painful Hot Plate Heating of Rats (GJFSM) - Iris Publishers

The Brain and Heart Muscle Tissue Hydration Sensitivity to Painless and Painful Hot Plate Heating of Rats (GJFSM) - Iris Publishers

Previously, it was hypothesized that the over-hydration of excitable cells leading to the abnormal excitation of the membrane, which transmits the nerve signal to the central neuronal system, can generate pain sensation. To check this hypothesis by means of painless and painful heating of experimental animals with “hot plate” method the hydration sensitivity of several body areas to pain was studied. For this purpose, the effect of painless (38 ̊C) and painful (52.2 ̊C) heating on rats’ heart muscle, brain cortex and cerebellum tissue hydration was investigated in different experimental media (10-4M and 10-9M ouabain containing physiological solution) by means of “hot plate” method. The obtained data allow us to conclude the following: the hydrations of heart muscle, brain cortex and cerebellum tissues have different sensitivities to painful and painless heating, the hydration sensitivity of heart muscle tissue could serve as a primary marker for heating and the hydration of cerebellum tissue could serve as a marker for heating-induced pain threshold. Both painful and painless heating lead to the elevation of tissue hydration and their difference is suggested as a marker for pain sensation. Thus, the hydration is an extra-sensitive marker for pain sensation.

Extrusion of Intrastromal Corneal Ring Segments in Keratoconus; How to Avoid? (WJOVR) - Iris Publishers

Extrusion of Intrastromal Corneal Ring Segments in Keratoconus; How to Avoid? (WJOVR) - Iris Publishers

Implantation of intrastromal corneal ring segments (ICRS) is an effective and reversible refractive procedure for keratoconus management [1]. the main advantages of ICRS in treatment of keratoconus are safety, reversibility and stability [2,3]. Ring segments extrusion is one of the postoperative complications of ICRS implantation which leads to ring explantation.
