Application of the Technique Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) in Pulmonary Metastases of Sarcomatoso Origin, Review of Highlighted Literature - Cancer Research & Clinical Imaging

Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) is a radiotherapy technique that provides radiation from many different positions around the body. The rays are focused on the tumor, with this we achieve that the lesion receives a high dose of radiation and the tissues around it receive a low dose, thus reducing the risk of side effects. It is applied between 1 and 5 sessions, and therefore it is possible to  reduce  the  treatment  time  compared  with  a  conventional  treatment.  This  radiation  therapy  is  also  called  stereotactic  ablative  radiotherapy (SABR).
